Patterdale Terrier Fun Day

Daddy and Mummy took me to the Patterdale Terrier Fun Day! It was so much fun!

Daddy put lots of stuff in the car. Then we went to get Mummy. Then we had a really long drive. I didn't do sick in the car. I was a really good girl!

Patterdale is in the Lake District. Mummy says it's my "spiritual home". It's the place that Patterdale Terriers are named after. I'm a Patterdale Terrier!

We got there in the evening and took photos by the sign for Patterdale village. Then we got to the camp site and Daddy put up the tent. It was getting dark and Daddy couldn't see what he was doing. He kept tripping over and saying rude words. It was so funny!

Then Daddy started to cook dinner but the fire kept going out. Daddy said lots more rude words. It was so much fun!

Mummy took me for a walk and we saw more Patterdale Terriers. They were all barking at each other. I had a good bark too! It was so exciting! Then we all went to sleep.

Mummy let me have some ice cream. It was yummy!

In the morning, we went to the Patterdale Terrier Fun Day. There were hundreds of Patterdale Terriers. Some were black, some were brown. Some had short hair like me, some had lots of hair. I was the only black and tan Patterdale Terrier there. We all barked at each other. It was so much fun!

There was a competition for prettiest girl. Daddy entered me but I didn't win. Mummy says I'm beautiful and it doesn't matter what other people think.

Mummy and Daddy had ice cream. They let me have ice cream too. I love ice cream! It was so yummy!

Then Mummy and Daddy had beer. When Daddy wasn't looking, I had a drink of his beer. It was nice.

Then we watched Patterdale Terriers in agility races. They didn't know what to do. People kept falling over. It was so much fun!

I drank some of Daddy's beer when he wasn't looking! It was nice.

Then we saw lure racing. A fox tail was dragged across the field really fast and Patterdale Terriers had to try and catch it. It was so exciting! I want to race!

Then Mummy and Daddy took me to Windermere. That's a big town near Patterdale. It's a really pretty town. There is a big lake there.

Then we went back to the tent and cooked dinner. I sat outside the tent to guard it so that the other Patterdales couldn't come in.

In the morning, Daddy packed everything up and we came home.

It was a lovely weekend away. We all had fun! I want to go again next year. Mummy and Daddy said maybe. I hope so!
